Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Rhea Chakraborty’s Lawyer Alleges There’s No Record That NCB Has Collected Data From SSR’s Phone In Drug Case
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, and has so far arrested Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty among others. Rhea’s bail application had been earlier rejected by a special court and she was remanded to 14-day judicial custody which was later extended till October 6. She then moved the Bombay High Court, and the hearing of her bail application was held today. During the plea hearing, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde alleged that there was nothing on record to show that NCB was collecting data from Sushant Singh Rajput’s phone.

Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde argued that in the time that Rhea was associated with Sushant, the only person consuming drugs was Sushant Singh Rajput, and that there is no evidence to show that Rhea is an active member. According to tweets by BarandBench, Satish Maneshinde alleged, “During the entire NCB trial, there was nothing on record to show that the NCB was collecting material from SSR's phone or his transactions. There was also nothing on record to show SSR's consumption before meeting Rhea.”

According to Live Law, Satish Maneshinde said that had Sushant been alive today, he would have been punished under section 20.
